Perfect fall cake! Gluten-free, Dairy-free, Nut-free

About

WhattheFork.com is a great website to find awesome recipes to try. I used this pineapple upside down recipe and converted it into a less sugar, diary-free, and gluten-free apple upside down cake. My dad loves apple and cinnamon combination and I wanted to make a gluten free apple upside-down cake for him. Instead of adding a bed of pineapples at the bottom of the cake, I put a layer of apple slices covered in cinnamon and apple juice to make it caramelize.

Why do I use sprouted brown rice flour?

Sprouting a natural process of germinating. It gives you high nutrients, vitamins and minerals. According to healthline.com, sprouting any beans, nuts, grains, and vegetables is very healthy for our body. It increases nutrients levels, protein, folate, magnesium, phosphorus, manganese and vitamins C and K more than non-sprouted grains.

1. Make sure to first fold in your dry ingredients in your wet ingredients smoothly so you don't create any lumps in your batter.

2. Add 3 layers of apple and add some apple juice to make your apple caramelize a little.
